Highlights of the circuit:
Day 1:
MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – AITBENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE – ROSE VALLEY – DADES GORGES
After breakfast in your Riad, you will meet your driver/guide to start your three-day trip to the Sahara Desert, head to Ouarzazate, cross the Atlas Mountains through the Tizi'n'Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). These magnificent mountains offer a great landscape and the view of several hamlets and landscapes. After a stop for photos, we will take a track full of the exceptional landscape that will take us to the village of Telouet to visit the Kasbah of Glaoui and the village of Ait Benhaddou ; a fortified village marked by UNESCO as a world heritage site. After exploring the Kasbah and having our lunch, our journey continues to Ouarzazate , where we will stop to visit the film studios (option and entrance fees not included). The region of Ouarzazate is populated by Berbers who have become sedentary despite extremely harsh weather conditions. After visiting the Kasbah Taourirte ; a world heritage site and a beautiful Kasbah in the heart of Ouarzazate, we will head to the Dades Gorges , crossing the palm valley of Skoura and enjoying its Kasbahs. Our last stop for photos will be in the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Gorges where we will spend the night. Overnight and accommodation with dinner and breakfast in a guesthouse or hotel
Day 2:
TODRA GORGES – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT – ERG CHEBBI
After breakfast at your accommodation, you can take an early morning walk and stretch your legs in the Dades Gorges , before crossing the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs towards the Todra Gorges , where you can take a pleasant walk between its imposing canyon walls of more than 200 meters. After a walking tour of the Todra palm grove , we will continue our route to the desert through the Tafilalet palm grove. Arrival at the hotel on the dunes on foot of Erg Chebb i, relax and enjoy this breathtaking landscape while sipping a welcome mint tea while waiting for a camel. Then, you will start a new caravan ride accompanied by an experienced camel driver, after an hour. and half day camel ride in the sand dunes to the heart of the desert to admire the magnificent sunset Wrapped by the big dune and enjoying the music of drums, dinner and Moroccan tea, you can see the immense sky of stars and sleep in nomadic tents.
day 3:
MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ANTI ATLAS – VALLEE DU DRAA – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH
Wake up early to watch a beautiful sunrise that you will never see. After an hour and a half of camel ride, you will reach your hotel in Merzouga to take a shower and have breakfast. Then we will head to Marrakech through the palm valley of Tafilalte, where we will make a brief stop to explore its 7th century markets, then continue through the scenic route of the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Draa Valley. Stop for lunch in Ouarzazate. Then we will continue to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the Tichka Pass (2260 m) before arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon. End of the tour
